Licence terms and refund policy

1. What you are buying

Ceylumen Commerce is software for running an online store: a storefront, an admin panel and the back end, delivered as a download with full source code and guides. You buy a licence to use it; the software itself remains the property of Ceylumen.

2. Your licence

  • One store. One licence runs one live store on one domain. You may also run copies for testing on your own computer or a staging address.
  • Lifetime. You pay once. The licence does not expire and there are no monthly fees for the software.
  • Moving. You can move the licence to a new domain at any time by deactivating it on the old one.
  • Changes. You may change the code and design for your own store.
  • Not allowed. You may not resell, share or publish the software or its source code, or use one licence for more than one live store. A second store needs a second licence.

3. Updates and support

Your purchase includes every version 1 release. Help with installing is given by email. If you add Full project setup, we install and configure the store for you.

4. Hosting and domain

Plans that include hosting and a domain cover them for the first year from the day they are set up. After that year you can renew them with us or move the store to a provider of your choice; the software licence is not affected.

5. Payments

Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees and are paid once, by card or mobile wallet through PayHere or by bank transfer. Your download opens when the payment is confirmed.

6. Refunds

Because the product is a digital download with full source code, a payment cannot be refunded once the files have been downloaded. If you have paid and not yet downloaded, write to us within 7 days and we will refund you in full. If the software cannot be made to work on a server that meets the requirements in the installation guide, we will fix it or refund you.

7. Your details

We use the name, email, phone number and address you give at checkout only to issue your licence, deliver your order and contact you about it. Card details are entered on PayHere's page and never reach us. We do not sell or share your details.

8. Hosted shop (monthly or yearly)

  • What it is. We install Ceylumen Commerce for you on our server, on your own domain, and keep it running, backed up and updated. It is a service: there is no download and the source code is not included.
  • Your domain. You own your domain. You point it to our server with two DNS records, and we install the shop and its security certificate once it points to us.
  • Billing. You pay for each month or year in advance. By card or PayPal, you are charged automatically at the start of every period until you cancel. By bank transfer, you pay each period yourself and we remind you a week before.
  • Plans. A plan with a product limit or for one seller only has those limits built into the shop. You can move to a larger plan at any time by contacting us.
  • Money-back guarantee. If the hosted shop is not for you, cancel from your subscription page within 14 days of your first payment and choose "get my money back". The shop closes and we return that payment within 7 working days. The guarantee covers the first payment only.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your subscription page. You are not charged again and your shop stays open until the end of the time you have paid for. Outside the money-back guarantee, time already paid for is not refunded.
  • Late payment. If a payment is not received, the shop keeps running for a short grace period and is then paused. We keep your products, customers and orders for 30 days after a subscription ends, and can give you an export on request.
  • Your content. Your products, customers and orders are yours. You are responsible for what you sell and for following the law.
  • Price changes. If the price changes, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.
